Canela was designed to be a comfortable yet striking and elegant piece of furniture. The traditional joinery ensures that it's rigidity is derived from the structural design and not the thickness of the components, allowing these to be kept 'light' and delicate. The design combines contemporary materials in a way that supports repairability that promotes sustainable cycles in the long term. The cushioned parts are fixed on top of the wooden bench and can be replaced easily without disassembling the whole product. The seating surfaces also offer customisation with colours and materials for the use environment.
