Galaktika is an armchair designed especially for airport VIP lounges or public spaces where people need to spend more time and their staying have to be comfortable. This armchair has double function. It can be used either for sitting or resting. Depending on your needs you can choose one of the two position. The upper bar is rotatable and can be used to attach electronic devices.
Continue readingQWERTY is a sofa bed shaped like a computer keyboard. Each key forms a soft cushion that supports the user while working at the office or at home. Micro electric motors, controlled by a remote unit, adjust every key cushion separately, so the whole surface can be reshaped. The remote offers ten preset settings, and further settings can be added. QWERTY can be used as a sofa, as a bed or as a fully customized support. The design turns a familiar everyday image into flexible furniture with a light touch of irony.

Taking oil-paper umbrella structure as its inspiration, laminated bamboo strip was heat baked and clamp fixture in the wood mold that bended into shape, showing its simplicity and oriental charming. Interestingly the elasticity of laminated bamboo structure designed and the retractable mechanism in the central axis, one’s will find interaction when sitting on Kala stool, it will descend lightly and smoothly, and when one’s stood up from Kala stool, it will ascend back to its position.

Continue readingExocet is a multifunctional chair made of Baltic birch and aluminium. The chair is built from a series of identical curved slats assembled around a central cylinder. The use of one basic slat shape supports an efficient fabrication process. Exocet can be set in several configurations, including a standard chair, a rocking long chair and a folded form. To change the shape, the user releases the pressure with the handle, moves the sections around the cylinder and tightens the handle again. The result is a chair with many positions and very few parts.
