Modern Chinese Chair

Modern Chinese

Modern Chinese is an armchair intended for seating and also suitable for display as an art piece. The form borrows from the traditional Chinese armchair and from Marcel Breuer's No. B33 chair. CNC processing shapes plywood and solid walnut into a fluid and seamless outline, replacing the angular parts and woodworking joints of traditional construction. The structure and the strength of the wood were calculated to support body weight. A metal tube frame was studied first, but wood was chosen for its warmer appearance.

V Stool Self Assembled Seat

V Stool

V Stool is a self assembly seat made of beech or integrated bamboo with acrylic parts. The design uses a new tenon and mortise structure that relies on the natural elasticity of the wood, combined with a dovetail lock. No separate connecting parts are needed, so the seat can be taken apart and put together by hand in three or four steps. V Stool measures 360 by 360 by 450 millimetres. The flat package lowers transport costs and suits online sale. The simple form is intended for young users with small homes who move often.

Reverse Clock

Reverse

While time flies by, clocks have stayed the same. Reverse is not an ordinary clock, it's the reversal, a minimalistic clock design with subtle changes making it one of a kind. The hand facing inward rotates inside the outer ring to indicate the hour. The little hand facing outward stands alone and rotates to indicate the minutes. Reverse was created by removing all elements of a clock except its cylindrical base, from there imagination took over. This clock design aims to remind you to embrace time.

Mob-Clock Clock

Mob-Clock

Mob is a desk clock formed by a graded Mobius strip mounted on a stand, with a small ball serving as the pointer. Time is a linear concept, yet common clocks repeat two cycles each day, AM and PM. On Mob, the ball moves in one direction along the single boundary of the Mobius strip and passes 24 hours without repetition. The main body is injection molded from PC and ABS, and the legs are made of metal bars. The clock marks time in steps of 15 minutes, without seconds, to support a calm and natural sense of time.
