Mass Series Sumi Limited

Mass Series Sumi Limited is a furniture collection that includes a dining chair, a lounge chair, a coffee table, two stools and a coat hanger. Each piece combines a steel frame with generously planed cedar taken from old trees. The cedar is charred by a traditional method that improves durability and brings out defined grains, creating a glossy black surface with a rare texture. The dark finish refers to Noyaki, the grassland burning of the Aso area, where people and nature live together. The series is limited to 25 units per year.

The star of the show is the molding under the seat. The design is inspired by the facade of sukiya style architecture. It is characterized by a linear composition of square timbers. This structure brings calmness and lightness to the space, and the chair itself is designed to accentuate the space.

Pac Man

Pac Man is a side table with an integrated light, suited for use beside a lounge chair. The upper and lower panels are made of marble, and the body is formed by a plate heat bending process. The color temperature is adjusted by touching the left or right side. The low-temperature light source emits no heat. The shape recalls the classic arcade game Pac Man.

Trenta is an armchair with an adjustable backrest. A metal mechanism at the rear sets three reclining angles, so the seat suits conversation or rest. The base is made of stained Tauri wood from reforestation, and the inner shell uses anatomical plywood. The wooden parts are shaped by high-precision CNC machining, while the natural leather upholstery is made by hand. Metal parts receive an electrostatic coating. Continuous curved lines and smooth transitions give the armchair a sculptural form. A matching ottoman completes the set.
